These terms govern your use of the Lauds mobile application ("the app") and related website waitlist or early-access flows. By installing or using Lauds you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

Who provides the app

Lauds is provided by Brian Tan, an independent developer, contactable at radiansnail@gmail.com.

What the app does

Lauds lets you choose apps to lock during a self-configured window and unlock them only after completing one of: time spent in a Bible app, a physical-Bible reading timer, or a one-line journal entry. It is a personal attention tool. It is not a medical device, a counseling service, or a replacement for spiritual direction.

Your responsibilities

Subscriptions and purchases

Lauds offers monthly and annual subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase through the app, processed by Google Play Billing or Apple's App Store depending on your platform. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your store account. Lauds may also offer a website iOS lifetime early-access purchase processed by Stripe Checkout before public iOS launch. Android lifetime purchases are processed inside Google Play from the Android app. The lifetime purchase grants paid features for as long as the app continues to be offered, subject to platform rules and technical availability. Pricing may change for future purchasers; existing paid lifetime entitlements are not changed.

Refunds

Google Play and App Store purchases are handled by the applicable store under its standard refund policy. Website iOS lifetime early-access purchases are processed by Stripe; email us at radiansnail@gmail.com for refund requests or payment questions about those purchases. For exceptional cases, you can also email us and we will do our best to help.

Promotional codes

Lauds may include promotional codes that grant temporary or permanent access to paid features. Codes are provided at our discretion, may be revoked or changed at any time, and have no cash value. Promotional codes and referral rewards do not stack with a paid lifetime purchase.

Referral rewards

Lauds may offer repeating referral rewards when referred people use your referral code and complete a first protected morning: 14 days for the first activated friend in each cycle, another 14 days for the second, and 3 months for the third. During limited launch promotions, 3 activated friends may also grant lifetime access. Lauds may also provide global referral codes for attribution or campaigns. Referral rewards have no cash value, are not transferable, and may be withheld or revoked for self-referrals, duplicate installs, automated traffic, abuse, or technical attribution errors.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the lock will function on every device, every OEM skin, every Android version, or every iOS version, and we do not guarantee that any specific app can or cannot be blocked. Some devices (for example, certain MIUI configurations) require additional permissions that you must enable yourself for the lock to behave reliably.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any consequences of an app being locked, unlocked, or not behaving as expected. Our total liability for any direct claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue the app or specific features at any time. If the app is discontinued, paid subscriptions will stop renewing.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date above will change and the new version will be published at this URL. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
